David Rikkers is President of Expedited Climb Capital, a firm focused on technology development and transactions in the aerospace and defense industry. Prior to this role, he led an IP monetization team that sourced and executed deals valued over $1.5 billion.
David serves on the LES Standards Board and as Chair of the Aerospace Industries Association IP Committee. He has over two decades of experience as IP counsel and continues to serve clients at datarights.law. He has managed very large patent portfolios, while personally drafting over 200 patents.
He began his career as a US Air Force officer, leading engineering efforts to develop new electronic technologies. David received a B.S., ME, from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (1991) and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School (1999). He recently completed a professional certificate program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Architecture and Systems Engineering: Models & Methods to Manage Complex Systems.
