Global Head of Intellectual Property, CAE Inc.

Rony Karam is Global Director of Intellectual Property at CAE, a Canadian company that provides simulation-based solutions and services to empower pilots, cabin crew, airlines, and defence and security forces to perform at their best every day, especially when the stakes are high. He drives strategic initiatives to grow, protect, and commercialise CAE intellectual property while managing intellectual property risks. Prior to joining CAE in 2019, Rony held various intellectual property and innovation management positions at an AI start-up, a gaming company, and a biotech think tank. He also worked in private practice for three years as a patent and trademark agent. Rony holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from McGill with a technical concentration in AI and Computer Graphics, as well as a minor in biotechnology.
