Principal, PDCIP, LLC
Adam Ullman brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in business leadership, intellectual property management, and mediation. As an entrepreneur and attorney, Adam helps businesses identify and monetize their intellectual property assets. His company, PDCIP, offers business advisory services, commercial mediation, guidance for resolving disputes between business partners and in family businesses, and support for improving operations while preparing businesses for sale.
Adam has successfully navigated the complexities of intellectual property disputes, including resolving patent infringement issues involving products sold on Amazon and negotiating a patent infringement settlement with a royalty exceeding 20% per unit sold. He has also managed succession planning issues for an organization comprised of 21 companies and multi-generational business partners. Through IP conferences in the Bay Area, Adam met with members of Amazon’s IP counsel, where he outlined a potential approach to addressing patent-infringing products on their platform—an idea discussed 6-12 months before the implementation of the Amazon Utility Patent Neutral Evaluation Program.
