Dave Djavaherian is President of PacTech Consulting LLC and PacTech Law, P.C.  He focuses on standards and intellectual property matters, including FRAND licensing engagements, IP policy and related disputes.  He has been handling high stakes licensing and litigation matters throughout his career, including working in-house to manage and oversee a $250M annual licensing business.

Mr. Djavaherian has provided expert testimony before US and UK courts on FRAND licensing matters.  He served as a delegate for the United States to the United Nation’s Telecommunications Standards Advisory Group, and is regular contributor on IP policy issues at SDOs such as ETSI, ITU and IEEE.   He has been recognized annually since 2019 by IAM Magazine as one of the top 300 IP strategists in the world.

Prior to founding PacTech Law, Mr. Djavaherian was Associate General Counsel for Broadcom Corporation, where he led standards and IP policy engagements throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.  He previously served as Vice President for litigation and licensing at Tessera, Inc., and began his career with Irell & Manella in Orange County and Los Angeles.  Mr. Djavaherian served as President of the Federal Bar Association’s Orange County Chapter, is co-Chair for the ABA’s Technical Standardization Committee, and taught IP Law and Strategy at the University of California, Irvine School of Business.  He is a Lifetime Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
