As Executive Vice President at VentureWell, Demetria leads the Higher Education Innovation Ecosystem Team, overseeing major initiatives such as a $2.4 million faculty grant program and federal programs like I-Corps and IUCRC. Her work positions institutions as regional ecosystem builders, fostering collaboration with industry and government. A recognized expert in inclusive innovation, Demetria focuses on engaging HBCUs, Tribal Colleges, and MSIs to enhance their tech transfer and commercialization efforts.
With over two decades of leadership across government, STEM, entrepreneurship, and innovation, Demetria co-founded the Jamii Group, where she led business development, data visualization, and social impact initiatives. She also served as a policy analyst and White House Political Appointee under President Barack Obama, advancing programs for minority-owned businesses and MSIs in emerging industries.
