Kenny Karanja, PhD, CLP, is a seasoned licensing professional with over 21 years of combined experience in academic research and technology transfer, specializing in molecular biology research, drug development and strategic commercialization. He has a proven track record in assessing and protecting intellectual property, as well as negotiating and executing complex licensing agreements for university-based innovations in the biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Kenny holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics, along with a Master’s degree in Medical Device Innovation from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Kenny’s passion for entrepreneurship and technology transfer has driven him to support numerous startups and university inventors in developing and executing effective business strategies and intellectual property protection plans. He is a recipient of the Howard Bremer Scholarship awarded by the Association of University Technology Managers in 2017.
