Deputy Director, Associate General Counsel, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Lauren Sullivan is currently Deputy Director, Associate General Counsel at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation focusing on complex biotechnology transactions.  Prior to BMGF, she was a partner in Epstein, Becker & Green’s Health Care and Life Sciences practice group, where she advised biotechnology companies on regulatory, commercial, corporate and transactional matters.  She is a biotech veteran, having supported the launch and commercial success of numerous blockbuster products including Avastin, Pradaxa and Xtandi.  She led legal the departments of Bay Area biotechs Dermira and Medivation in preparation for their respective acquisitions and held senior legal roles at Genentech, Boehringer Ingelheim and Pfizer.

Ms.  Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Widener University and a Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law .  She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut.
