As CEO, Chairman and President HDMI LA, Rob has been the driving strategic force behind the licensing, enforcement, compliance and growth of HDMI® technology around the world, and has taken the reigns as its Chief Evangelist promoting the HDMI specification as the #1 digital/audio interface to the consumer electronics, mobile, PC and entertainment industries. He oversees IP licensing and enforcement with over 2,000 HDMI licensees and partners responsible for the sale of over 12 billion HDMI products worldwide, and as such brings a recognized level of expertise working with foreign regulatory channels, customs authorities, standards development organizations, media companies, etc., to grow the business and protect the HDMI brand.
Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Davis, an MBA from Santa Clara University, sits on the UC Davis Foundation Board of Trustees and chairs the UC Davis College of Engineering Dean’s Executive Committee, and also sits on the Board of Directors of WiSA Technologies (NASDAQ: WISA), a leader in immersive wireless sound technology.
