Sian C Godwin is an Executive Director in the US Business Development and Licensing Group at Sandoz Inc where she leads the Alliance Management team. The team is primarily responsible for managing the relationship with partners post signature for the full lifetime of the agreement. In addition, the group identifies and negotiates product acquisition and/or licensing deals targeted primarily at the US market.
Sian has over 20 years of pharma/biotech transactional experience including in and out licensing, M&A, divestitures, strategic partnerships, research collaborations and product acquisitions. Prior to joining Sandoz she was Head of Search, Evaluation and Licensing at Cytiva (formally GE Healthcare). Before venturing into licensing Sian held roles in marketing and product management, starting her career as a bench scientist. Sian is a firm believer in driving innovation and access to life changing medicines through collaborative partnerships and alliances.
She has a B.Sc. in Applied Biology, is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society (LES) and serves on the Board of Governors for Certified Licensing Professionals (CLP). Sian is also on the Board of Auryn Independent Performing Arts Inc, a non-profit organization based in New Jersey which is focused on providing youth and young adults with educational and character-building experiences through the vehicle of the performing arts.
